Location: Bang Rak District (Creative Distrcit) 500m. around TCDC
ISSUES
Part 1 : Downtown 1-Way Redesign
Current conditions: 1 way road with narrow uncontinuous pedestrian, lack of street amenities, undifferentiated street space and wide travel lanes cause high speed and ineffective use of valuable street space.
Objective: Enhance the overall transit user experience and Sense of Walking district.
Add amount of public space available on a pedestrian and provide amenities such as benches, bicycle racks, way-finding map, plantation, etc..
On the road separate into 4 segments which are Bus only lane, Travel lane, Temporary Parking lane, Bike lane with Vertical speed control in crossing area. Using color to identify each lanes and for safety factor.
Part 2: turn sub soi into commercial shared street
Current conditions: -Narrow and full of obstacles on the sidewalk creates unsafe conditions, as crowding forces some pedestrians to walk in the street to avoid crowds.
-Vehicles in search of on-street parking create traffic congestion.
-Street food stall obstruct pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
-Lack of amenities and available space for any further activities according to creative district.
Objective: Turn the current alley in to commercial shared street to goes along with creative district movement by discourage vehicle volumes but encourage pedestrian activity, also increase available space for street activities.
-Provide tactile warning strips at the entrance to all shared spaces.
-Flatten the street level to be able to use full available street space.
-Offset curb extensions on the streets to create a chicane effect that slows traffic speeds.
-Highlight the curb to prioritized the pedestrian activity by textured and colored pavement 
-Define shared space by bring in street furniture or amenities, also providing the separation line between curb and travel lane.
-Curb areas are available for any street activities to occur including street food stall without impacting the flow of pedestrian or vehicle.
